When
I gave my life to Jesus Christ back in 1986, I never imagined that he
would lead me to one day serve His people as the Pastor of Calvary Chapel
in Passaic, NJ. I had plans for my own life that would have directed
me to a completely different place.
For
one thing, I always assumed that I would remain a professional musician,
working by day as a systems analyst for an insurance company. It paid
the bills and allowed me to do what I enjoyed most - play music. But
shortly after my conversion, It became apparent that God had placed
me on a much different path.
I
spent the next 17 years at Harvest
Christian Fellowship of Manhattan where I served as a Praise and
Worship Leader, Discipleship Ministry Leader, Home Bible Study Leader
and Children's Ministry Leader. In March of 1992, I was ordained an
Assistant Pastor and then served as the Director of Praise and Worship
Ministry until May of 2003.
During this time the Lord called my wife Michelle and I to lead a young adults fellowship called First Friday Fellowship which now meets at Calvary Chapel North Jersey in Passaic, NJ.
In
June of 2003, the Lord confirmed his call for us to start a Wednesday
night Bible Study at the Courtyard by Marriott in Lyndhurst, NJ.
Over
the next ten months, we grew as a congregation and ultimately became
known as Calvary Chapel North Jersey. We moved to our current facility
in April of 2004 and began holding Sunday Morning services while continuing
to develop the individual ministries within our fellowship.
I am truly blessed to serve God's people as the Pastor of Calvary Chapel
North Jersey and I am excited to be a part of this work that He has
called into being.
